The supernatural drama Mayfair Witches is heating up as Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario) and her estranged father, Cortland Mayfair (Harry Hamlin), reluctantly join forces in Collider’s exclusive sneak peek from this week’s episode, Michaelmas. The sixth installment of the show’s second season takes the characters out of their usual New Orleans setting and into the misty landscapes of Scotland as they hunt down the rogue demon Lasher (Jack Huston). The episode premieres Sunday, February 16, at 9:00 PM ET on AMC and will be available to stream on AMC+ the following day.

A Tense Family Reunion
In the exclusive clip, Rowan, Cortland, and Rowan’s cousin Moira (Alyssa Jirrels) are aboard a train in Scotland, racing against time to track Lasher, the malevolent entity once bound to Rowan. The stakes are higher than ever: back in New Orleans, the Mayfair family home is crumbling without Lasher’s presence, trapping Jojo (Jen Richards) and Daphne (Olive Abercrombie) inside its magical walls. Despite the dire circumstances, Rowan remains determined to find Lasher, even as Cortland’s long-dead father, Julien (Ted Levine), continues to manipulate events from beyond the grave.

The dynamic between the trio is anything but harmonious. Rowan turned Cortland to stone in the Season 1 finale after discovering he was responsible for her mother’s death, and Moira harbors resentment toward Rowan for her sister Tessa’s death at the hands of an anti-witch cult. As they navigate their fractured relationships, the question looms: Can they set aside their personal grievances to save the Mayfair legacy?

What Is Mayfair Witches About?
Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy, the series follows Dr. Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon who discovers she’s part of a powerful lineage of witches. Her journey intertwines with Ciprien Grieve (Tongayi Chirisa), an agent of the Talamasca, an ancient organization that monitors supernatural entities. The first season saw Rowan grappling with her connection to Lasher, culminating in her giving birth to him through a magical pregnancy.

Season 2 picks up with Lasher rapidly aging into adulthood and wreaking havoc on the Mayfair clan before being whisked away to Scotland by the Talamasca. Now, Rowan is on a mission to uncover Lasher’s origins, aided by her former flame, Sam Larkin (Ben Feldman). Meanwhile, the Mayfair family’s dark secrets continue to unravel, threatening to destroy them from within.

A Growing Supernatural Universe
Mayfair Witches is part of AMC’s expanding Anne Rice universe, which also includes Interview with the Vampire. The two series share connections, such as the appearance of vampire Felix (Gabriel Freilich) earlier this season. Fans can also look forward to The Talamasca, a third series currently in production that will delve deeper into the enigmatic organization tasked with chronicling the supernatural.

What’s Next?
As Rowan, Cortland, and Moira close in on Lasher, tensions rise, and the fragile alliance between them threatens to shatter. Will they succeed in their mission, or will their personal vendettas doom the Mayfair family? Tune in to Michaelmas on Sunday, February 16, at 9:00 PM ET on AMC, or stream it the next day on AMC+ to find out.

Stay tuned to Collider for more updates on Mayfair Witches and the latest from AMC’s supernatural universe.
